Recognising the importance of an Integrated Management System (IMS), and taking a process-oriented view of every activity in the plant, Khosh Noosh Kavir set out to implement the requirements of three standards: the ISO 9001 quality management system, the ISO 14001 environmental management system, and the ISO 45001 occupational health and safety management system.
ISO 9001 — Quality Management System
ISO 9001 certification means that the manufacturing organisation operates a defined quality system, and that this system has been built around customer requirements.
Systems thinking and the process approach are central to ISO 9001. The standard views the organisation as a single system and works to establish sound connections between its units, so that better communication and better internal quality translate into better products and services for the customer.
ISO 14001 — Environmental Management System
ISO 14001 sets out requirements for protecting the environment and preventing a company's pollutants from harming it. It can be implemented in any organisation, whether manufacturing or service-based. Its general requirements rest on identifying polluting factors — what the standard calls environmental aspects.
ISO 45001 — Occupational Health & Safety
ISO 45001 is the international standard for occupational health and safety. It contains the requirements and rules that help organisations create a safer working environment, reduce work-related risks, and take employee health and welfare more seriously. Its aim is to enable an organisation to provide healthy and safe workplaces, prevent work-related injury and ill health, and continually improve its safety performance.
Khosh Noosh Kavir began implementing all three standards in 1401 (2022–23) and was certified by the accredited body BRSM.
